Emily Wotton 2026

Meet Emily Wotton, REALTOR®

Rooted in Maine. Driven by Purpose. Inspired by Home.

With deep roots along Maine's rugged coastline and a strong connection to the Kennebec Valley, Emily Wotton brings a hardworking, thoughtful, and people-first approach to real estate. As a REALTOR® with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate | The Masiello Group, she combines local knowledge, strategic thinking, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to advocacy to help buyers and sellers navigate some of life's most important decisions.

But Emily's reason for becoming a REALTOR® goes much deeper than a career.

She grew up believing that home is where the heart is.

Raised in a hardworking Maine family, Emily was fortunate to grow up with the comfort of knowing there would be a meal on the table, a roof over her head, and people who would always show up for her. As a child, those things felt like a natural part of life. As she grew older, she came to understand just how much work, sacrifice, and love her parents poured into providing that stability for their family.

Her parents taught her the value of perseverance, responsibility, and putting the people you love first. Much of their lives revolved around caring for Emily and her younger brother, whose experiences as a nonspeaking autistic person with epilepsy have shaped Emily's perspective on family, opportunity, and what it means to show up for someone. Her brother is one of her greatest inspirations, reminding her every day to work hard, dream big, and make the most of the opportunities she has been given.

His influence is woven into the way Emily approaches her life and her ambitions. She wants to build a future that honors the sacrifices her family made, makes her brother proud, and allows her to use her own opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

That is a large part of why she chose real estate.

To Emily, a home is never just a property, a price, or a transaction. It is the comfort of knowing you have somewhere to return to at the end of a long day. It is the kitchen where a family gathers, the place where children grow up, the fresh start someone has been working toward, and the security of having a space to call your own. She understands that the opportunity to feel safe, settled, and at home is something deeply personal, and she considers it a privilege to help people work toward that feeling.

Today, real estate gives Emily the opportunity to turn those values into meaningful work. She can help people navigate an unfamiliar process, advocate for their interests, and work toward a place where they can build their own memories and futures. For someone who grew up appreciating the stability her parents worked so hard to provide, there is something especially meaningful about helping another person find that same sense of belonging.

A Maine Upbringing and a Strong Work Ethic

Growing up in Maine instilled in Emily an appreciation for its people, traditions, working waterfronts, and close-knit communities. From the rugged coastline to the inland towns of the Kennebec Valley, these communities are more than the areas she serves; they are part of the place that shaped her.

Emily's professional path has included hospitality, operations management, and wine sales, experiences that taught her how to build relationships, communicate effectively, negotiate thoughtfully, and find solutions when circumstances change. She graduated from high school early and pursued higher education in Southern Maine, developing a foundation in business, sales, and human behavior that continues to inform her work.

She has always been ambitious, but she also understands that building something worthwhile takes patience, consistency, and a willingness to learn. Her journey has not been without challenges. She has experienced the uncertainty that comes with starting something new, the growing pains of learning a complex profession, and the moments that require her to dig a little deeper. Through it all, she has continued to show up, put in the work, and find ways to grow.

Over the past year and a half in real estate, Emily has gained valuable hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the responsibility that comes with representing buyers and sellers. She has completed her associate broker coursework and is working toward earning her associate broker license, continuing to invest in the education and professional development that will help her serve her clients well.

Learning, Growing, and Building Together

Emily is especially grateful for the mentorship of Bob Melanson, whose more than 30 years of experience in real estate have provided an invaluable foundation. In 2026, Emily and Bob brought their strengths together as a team working under Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate The Masiello Group. Their partnership is built on mutual trust, shared knowledge, accountability, and a genuine commitment to the people they serve. Together, they achieved $3.3 million in sales in 2026, a milestone that reflects the work they have put into building their business and the relationships behind it.

Emily believes that good representation means knowing what you know, recognizing what you still need to learn, and making use of the resources available to your clients. She values collaboration, welcomes the perspective of experienced professionals, and approaches every transaction as an opportunity to become more knowledgeable and capable.

Her background in sales and operations has strengthened her ability to think strategically, manage competing priorities, communicate value, and navigate complex situations. She brings those skills to pricing discussions, listing preparation, offer negotiations, and the many details that carry a transaction from the first conversation to the closing table.

An Advocate for Every Chapter of Homeownership

Helping first-time home buyers holds a special place in Emily's heart. She knows that entering the real estate market can feel exciting, unfamiliar, and sometimes overwhelming. Her goal is to make the process easier to understand by taking the time to explain each step, answer questions honestly, discuss available options, and help clients feel prepared to make informed decisions.

Whether working with a first-time buyer, helping a seller transition into a new chapter, or assisting an investor in exploring an opportunity, Emily believes that every client deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported. She is committed to communicating clearly, anticipating questions, addressing challenges proactively, and advocating for her clients' interests without pressure or shortcuts.

For Emily, being an advocate means more than negotiating an offer. It means helping people understand their options, speaking up when something needs attention, and making sure they have someone in their corner when the process becomes complicated. She takes that responsibility seriously because she understands that behind every transaction is a person, a family, a financial decision, and a future being built.

Her approach to real estate is grounded in honesty, preparation, kindness, and follow-through. She knows she cannot promise that every transaction will be easy, but she can commit to showing up, communicating openly, and doing everything within her professional role to help her clients navigate the road ahead.

A Young Woman with Big Dreams and a Purpose Bigger Than Herself

Behind the professional title is a young woman who is still learning, still growing, and still dreaming big. Emily is proud of what she has accomplished, grateful for the people who have helped her along the way, and determined to build a career that reflects both her ambition and her values.

She wants to succeed, not simply for the sake of success, but because she believes in what that success can make possible: greater independence, more opportunities to help her family, the ability to give back to her community, and the chance to make a difference in the lives of people she may never otherwise have met.

Her family taught her that home is about more than four walls. It is about the people who stand beside you, the sacrifices made out of love, and the comfort of knowing you belong somewhere. That understanding is what she carries into every client relationship.

Emily cannot promise to make every step of buying or selling a home effortless. What she can promise is to approach your goals with care, your questions with patience, your trust with respect, and your transaction with the determination to do her very best.

Because for Emily, real estate is about more than helping people buy and sell property. It is about helping people find their place, build their futures, and create a little more of the comfort and security that make a house feel like home.

This is the work she believes in. This is the community she wants to serve. And this is only the beginning.
